Dyna Drugs Ethinyl estradiol 35 mcg, norethisterone 400 mcg OC 1 tab/day beginning on the 5th day of menstrual period for 21 days, then 7 tab-free days. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (eg dysmenorrhea, endometriosis & ovarian dysgenesis) 1 tab daily for 21 days. May be taken with or without food. Liver disease eg Dubin-Johnson & Rotor syndromes, benign cholestatic jaundice of pregnancy. Breast & genital cancer, thrombophlebitis &/or thromboembolic phenomena. Myomata uteri, CVA, CV & renal diseases, DM, epilepsy, migraine & ophthalmological problems. Pregnancy & lactation. Breast ache, nausea, headache & dizziness. Enzyme-inducing drug eg carbamazepine, griseofulvin, phenobarbitone, phenytoin & rifampicin. Category X: Studies in animals or human beings have demonstrated foetal abnormalities or there is evidence of foetal risk based on human experience or both, and the risk of the use of the drug in pregnant women clearly outweighs any possible benefit. The drug is contraindicated in women who are or may become pregnant. Oral Contraceptive G03AA05 - norethisterone and ethinylestradiol ; Belongs to the class of progestogens and estrogens in fixed combinations. Used as systemic contraceptives. Rx |
